Lucy Mullican: Veils is a selection of recent paintings by Lucy Mullican which will be on view starting on February 7 until February 28th, 2023. Mullican’s new body of work extends her vocabulary of invented anthropomorphic landscapes into a ghostly realm. Translucent spaces rendered in watercolor are subject to an intervening presence, an unknown entity that takes on different forms.

Recent exhibitions include:Fragments, Villa Magdalena, San Sebastian, Spain (2022, solo); Sensed As Well As Seen, Olympia,New York City, USA (2022, solo). Veils, presented by Villa Magdalena and Galeria Mascota on the occasion of Mexico City Art Week 2023, marks the first time Mullican will exhibit in Mexico. This Spring, she will be included in the group show Il Rossori Dell’Arte (The Redness of Art) at Ronchini in London. Mullican‘s work has appeared in Artforum, TheBrooklyn Rail, and Hyperallergic.
